Who Dies In Stranger Things Season 5?

It’s coming, it’s coming for them!

Stranger Things Season 5 is here, and it’s everything fans have been waiting for, intense, emotional, and, yes, heartbreakingly unpredictable.

As someone who has just watched the season, I can tell you that the stakes have never been higher.

The story pushes Hawkins and its residents to their limits, and with that comes the inevitable question, Who doesn’t make it out alive?

What Happens In Stranger Things 5?

Season 5 begins with a darker feel and is more suspenseful, which is already evident in the first episode. The Upside Down is not as harmless as ever, the villains are not stopping, and the characters are in a situation where their lives are not certain.

When we see the faces we know go through these threats, it makes every scene suspenseful as we are attached to them and we are given the feeling that anything can occur.

It is not only a season of jump scares and monsters, but it also tells us of the emotional stakes of growing up, struggling against impossible odds, and loss. That is why the issue of who dies strikes so hard.

Which  Main Characters Are At Risk In Stranger Things Season 5?

Although the show holds some of the cards close, certain characters seem to be under more threat than others. I was watching their journeys with my breath suspended, so as to know what would happen next:

1. Eleven: She bears the responsibility of being the main character with the presence of incredible power to save her friends. Her fights are the most life-endangering, and it seems that she is not sure of survival till the end.

2. Hopper: Hopper entering the Upside Down in Season 5 Episode 1 immediately endangers him to serious trouble. All the shadows, all the unfamiliar animals risk being deadly, and it is in keeping with Hopper that he is sacrificing his life in order to save others.

3. Max Mayfield: With all the things that she has gone through in earlier seasons, Max is seen as more vulnerable than ever. Her times of peril are pitiful, and you cannot but be worried about her security.

4. Will Byers: Will still remains attached to the Upside Down and this attachment still endangers him. The special connection that he has with the supernatural offers him a potential victim to the darker forces of the series.

5. Steve Harrington: Steve is the one who has been in danger due to the changes that took place in his life: he was a free and careless teenager, but changed to a courageous guardian. Whenever he courageously puts his life on the line on behalf of others, you are left to wonder that maybe this is the time when he will make his final sacrifice.

What Are Some Of The Surprising Twists In Stranger Things Season 5?

The fact that Season 5 is the most unpredictable is one of the most interesting things about it. However, when you believe that a character is safe, a turn of events knocks you on the head to say that no one is invincible. This doubt has you in suspense during the season.

The characters that seemed invincible in the past are tested in new ways as well. The progress, courage, and decisions they make during times of risk add to the reality and the unpolished nature of the show since they have to face the serious repercussions of their behavior.

Final Thoughts

The fifth season is a ride of emotions that can be full of suspense, courage, and defeat. Whereas some of the characters are in evident danger, others manage to survive. As the series progresses, you feel the euphoria of victory and the sting of the arrow through the heart with the characters.

At the end of it all, Stranger Things Season 5 is teaching us that growing up involves confronting danger and loss, whether you live in Hawkins or only sit on the couch and watch it. Each death, each escape, each sacrifice contributes to the story and makes the viewers want to watch more and more, as they want to know who will live and who will make a permanent mark in the world of Stranger Things.
